What is a workflow?

 

The workflow defines the statuses a ticket can have, the order that it progresses through them, and any tasks that must be completed to move the ticket to the next status.

Status

As a form moves through the workflow it goes through a set of statuses. Your admin will configure the available permissions and actions available at each status. 

Tasks

Each Form will have a pre-defined workflow. In order for the user to move it from one status to another, they must be assigned a task.

When a ticket is moved to a status that is not the end of the workflow, a task must be assigned to a user to signal that actions are required to progress the ticket. This ticket will move across statuses and their associated tasks until the ticket reaches the end of its workflow.

1. On the ticket view/edit page, select update status.

2. Select the assignment field located below the task title and description.

3. Select the users who should be assigned the task.

4. Click the update status button.
